The Fairy Castle Cactus, or “Cereus cv. Fairy Castle”, scientifically known as Acanthocereus tetragonus ‘Fairy Castle,’ is a popular and visually striking cactus cultivar. It belongs to the Cactaceae family and is native to Mexico and parts of Central America.

Key features of the Fairy Castle Cactus include its tall, columnar stems that grow vertically and branch out in a distinctive castle-like formation, hence the name “Fairy Castle.” The stems have numerous ridges and are usually dark green in color(these ones also have yellow and pink due to the variegation). Along the ridges, the cactus develops clusters of small white spines, adding to its enchanting appearance.

Fairy Castle Cacti are relatively low-maintenance and adaptable plants, making them suitable for indoor cultivation in containers or outdoor planting in arid gardens. They thrive in well-draining soil and require plenty of sunlight to grow healthily.

In terms of care, Fairy Castle Cacti should be watered sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings to prevent root rot. They are also sensitive to cold temperatures and should be protected from frost.

With its whimsical appearance and ease of care, the Fairy Castle Cactus is a popular choice among succulent enthusiasts and collectors, adding a touch of enchantment to any plant collection or desert-themed landscape.
