Tephrocactus geometricus is a species of cactus native to Argentina, specifically found in the San Juan and Mendoza provinces. This cactus is characterized by its small, globular stems covered in dense clusters of sharp spines. The stems often form tight clusters, creating a geometrically pleasing arrangement called “geometricus.”

In its natural habitat, Tephrocactus geometricus grows in rocky, arid areas where it is adapted to survive in harsh conditions. It requires well-draining soil and plenty of sunlight to thrive.

Tephrocactus geometricus is valued for its ornamental appearance and is often grown in succulent gardens or as a container plant. It is relatively easy to care for, requiring minimal water and occasional fertilization during the growing season.

This cactus produces small, inconspicuous flowers that typically appear in spring or early summer. The flowers are usually white or yellow in color and emerge from the top of the stems.
