Turbinicarpus pseudopectinatus is a small, globular cactus species native to Mexico, specifically found in the states of Nuevo León and San Luis Potosí. It belongs to the family Cactaceae and is characterized by its compact size, typically growing to about 2 to 3 centimeters in diameter.

This species is highly variable in appearance, with individual plants displaying a range of colors from green to grayish-green. It has tubercles arranged in spirals, often forming distinctive ribs along the stem. The areoles, from which spines and flowers emerge, are spaced irregularly on the tubercles.

Turbinicarpus pseudopectinatus produces small, white to pinkish flowers that emerge from the apex of the plant during the blooming season. These flowers are usually short-lived but are nevertheless attractive and contribute to the plant’s ornamental value.

In cultivation, Turbinicarpus pseudopectinatus is highly valued by cactus enthusiasts for its compact size, interesting growth form, and attractive flowers. It requires well-draining soil, adequate sunlight, and minimal water to thrive. Like many cacti, it is adapted to arid environments and is best suited for cultivation in pots or containers with good airflow.
