Echinopsis ‘Schick Hybrids’ – Stunning Cactus Collection for Vibrant Flower Displays

Transform your garden or indoor space with the breathtaking beauty of Echinopsis ‘Schick Hybrids.’ These exquisite cacti, born from the hybridization efforts of renowned breeder Bob Schick, boast an impressive array of colors and forms, making them a must-have for any cactus enthusiast or garden connoisseur.

The Schick hybrids primarily originate from crosses of Harry Johnson’s Paramount hybrids, which were developed in the 1930s and 40s, and subsequent crosses of their descendants(you can read more about him click his Name). Similar to the Paramount hybrids, the Schick hybrids have the potential to bloom multiple times in a single season and, as they mature, can produce an increasing abundance of flowers. When cultivated under the growing conditions at Huntington Gardens, the initial burst of blooms typically occurs in April, followed by additional flushes in May, June, and July. Some hybrids may even continue to flower into August, September, and October. Moreover, in our shaded facility, sporadic blooms have been observed throughout the entire year.
